record from external tv tunner?

i bought this tv tunner AVerMedia AVerTV Box W7 and the guy that sold it to me told me that there is downloadable software on the internet so i can record from the tv tunner to the pc but he couldn't tell me where.. so anyone knows if that's possible and if yes which software sould i download. just the name i can figure out where to get it
