What specs should have a computer for running 3D CAD software?
I have known many fatal errors in the Auto CAD and want to upgrade my computer faster processor and more ram better video card. I have several different estimates of several different machines. I want to get sufficient power full PC, but do not want to spend too much by going overboard on the specs.
It depends on many things - the amount of data you work with inside AutoCAD, what other programs you use at the same time, what operating system you are using (Vista is more resource intensive than XP for example). If you're running Vista, working with large amounts of data, and possibly running other programs at the same time, when I look at something like a dual-core or quad-core 2.4 GHz or more 4GB of RAM, a graphics card with at least 256MB of memory.
