How to install ATI radeon 2400 pciE into a desktop?
I just bought this piece and when i tried installing it into my pci express slot, i turned on my computer and got no video at all. that means NONE. the monitor was pure black. I dont know what to do, any ideas?
Oh and by the way, on my motherboard, it has a built in HD radeon 3200 graphics. Would it be better to just not install the new card and leave it with the built in one?
Your on-board video card uses the same core as the hd2400, the hd 2400 is a little more power full. But the new chipset from ati let's you use a form of crossfire between the igp(hd3200) and hd2400 boosting your perfomance to the level of an nvidia 8500 gt and bellow an ati hd 2600.
You only have to plug the card firmly in your PCIe slot and the monitor plug in your card(don't leave it in your igp)
