What is the advantage of Core 2 Duo vs. Core 2 Quad?

What are the key benefits of Microsoft Core 2 Duo Core 2 Quad verses? If I go to the Quad do I need to upgrade anything else like graphics card, RAM, etc.? Thank you.

Core 2 Duo processor cores = 2 Core 2 Quad = 4 cores more processing cores enables your computer to multi-tasking (doing more than one thing at a time) more quickly and efficiently as you spread over engines workload between them. Core 2 Duo is more expensive, but they are probably better to buy now if you yourself are the future proofing. You do not need to worry about changing video cards, RAM etc. if you choose either the Quad or Duo core, they are both compatible with just about everything right now.
